MAY '20

Early May

Adult male Golden Whistler - very low numbers this year comparing to the same time last year, can bushfires be the reason?

Laughing Kookaburras

Brown Goshawk

Australian Magpie

Pale-vented Bush-hen

Fan-tailed Cuckoo

Pied Currawong

Australian Ibises

Grey Fantail, like Golden Whistlers, very low in numbers.

My first sighting of a Little Shrikethrush

Female Variegated Fairywren

Multiple families of Pacific Black Ducks are present at the Reserve at the moment.

Mid May

A black-and-white collection featuring the Royal Spoonbill, Kookaburra and Willie-wagtail.

Late May

Spangled Drongo

I usually Cattle Egrets in the summer and only flying over the reserve, this sighting of a bird landing along the creek vegetation was quite unusual.

Spangled Drongo calling.
